Organizing Co-Chair, Yvonne Weir, stated that “This award [PHF] is the highest honour a Rotary club can bestow on an individual and acknowledges ‘service above self’ by those persons who are selected”. Weir added “our 2 clubs are very pleased to be able to recognize Paul and Andrew, both outstanding and deserving individuals in our community”.

The Rotaract Club, will also be presenting their “Honourary Rotaractor” award for 2013-2014 to Jacques Lacourse, Clarion Resort Pinewood Park, for his active role as a liaison with their club.

Weir commented that “Any proceeds from the evening will be going to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International that enables Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation’s top priority continues to be the eradication of polio”.
