Contract renewed for West Nipissing Police Chief

The West Nipissing Police Service announced that Police Chief Chuck Seguin has agreed to sign another contract with the police service.

The West Nipissing Police Service announced that Police Chief Chuck Seguin has agreed to sign another contract with the police service.    

“The Chief’s employment have been agreed upon and a new contract signed,” stated Barry Bertrand, Chair of the WNPSB, in a release on Thursday morning.  

“Discussions regarding a pending retirement by the Chief with the Board resulted in an agreement that sees Chief Seguin staying on as Chief until such time as Council determines whether the Municipal Service shall remain or if a contract is entered into with the Ontario Provincial Police.”  

Seguin, took on the role of police chief in West Nipissing back in 2009.

Seguin was with the RCMP for 7 years, has been with North Bay City Police for the past 21 years in a number of roles including: Criminal Investigator, Community Programs Officer, Quality Assurance Officer and Patrol Sergeant.
