No highways have been closed in the Region, however OPP are responding to numerous collisions/ vehicles in the ditch around the Region since approximately 7 a.m. this morning. No injuries have been reported in relation to any of the collisions.

Currently there is:

A collision involving a Tractor-trailer at Old Woman Bay, Hwy 17, south of Wawa.

A vehicle in the ditch between Verner and Warren, Hwy 17

A vehicle in the ditch at Hwy 11 Cobalt

A tractor trailer in the ditch Hwy 533, approx 17 km south of Hwy 63

A vehicle in the ditch at Hwy 11, South Himsworth/Trout Creek and

A vehicle in the ditch, Monteith Rd, Monteith.

It is believed that at least some of the collisions are related to weather conditions. OPP are reminding motorists to take extra time to get to their destination and to drive according to the road/weather conditions.
