Collision at John & Worthington and traffic lights out at Thibeault Hill

Rush hour traffic was backed up at the corner of John and Worthington streets just after 4pm this afternoon as North Bay Police and Emergency Services workers responded to a collision.

There are no details available at this time as police have not concluded their investigation.

Meanwhile, emergency crews responded to another accident at the corner of Airport and Algonquin where they were working to free a trapped driver in a transport.

North Bay OPP Detachment members, along with Fire and Ambulance personnel responded to a tractor-trailer accident at the bottom of Thibeault Hill at 4:00 P.M. this date.

As a result of this motor vehicle collision the traffic lights at the above noted intersection will be out for some time.

The motoring public is encouraged to avoid this intersection if possible until the lights can be repaired.

More information on the collision will be released at a later time.
