Project Gateway, a joint investigation between the Ontario Provincial Police and the North Bay Police Service, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant Dec. 10, which resulted in the man's arrest.

The man's residence was subsequently searched, resulting in the seizure of cocaine and cash.

George Woolcott, 56, of Gladstone Avenue, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of a firearm he had no license to possess.

The approximate street value of the drugs seized is $3,600, and approximately $26,000 in cash was seized as offence-related property.
