City set to take back the night

Take Back the Night is an event where the people of North Bay, including University Students march throughout North Bay advocating for an end to violence against women and children.

This event will be taking place on October 28th 2008, and will begin at Nipissing University Campus doors at 6:30pm with introduction speeches followed by a march around campus and then head downtown to meet up with community members at Cecil’s for 7:30pm to march the downtown core followed by refreshments speeches and songs to end this unique evening.

Take Back the Night is a free event hosted by the Nipissing University Women's Centre executive committee and volunteer members, however, the Women's Centre welcomes donations at the door for the Lightness David Mokodo tuition fund.

All are welcome to attend.
