The City says it wants to hang 0n to the Dionne Quints home but is being tight-lipped about how it plans to do so,

"As the City is currently engaged in a formal process (Request for Expression of Interest) regarding the transfer of the Dionne home, we are not able to provide much comment or information, but would like to address some of the speculation," it says in a news release.

"It is our intent to keep the Dionne home in the region.  We continue to work with our partners toward an outcome that we feel will be pleasing for the public and the Dionne family, and will respect the historical significance of their legacy."

The release goes on to say, "In order to avoid the possibility of hindering the Expression of Interest process, the City of North Bay will not be providing any further response or comment on this matter at the present time.  We hope to be able to issue additional statements in the near future."
