On the 12th of Nov. shortly before 1 PM Det. Cst. Richard Hampel and Cst. Ken Rice of the North Bay Police had occasion to see a male wanted for Trafficking in Drugs. The officers approached the individual on McIntyre St. and made the arrest. This individual then broke free and ran. He was captured after a short foot chase.
The arresting officers then allegedly found what is believed to be a quantity of cocaine along with marijuana and hash as well as drug paraphernalia on his person.
The street value of the drugs was approximately $3700.
Jason HANSMAN 26 years old of Birchwood Rd. is charged with Trafficking in Drugs, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Drugs, Escape Lawful Custody and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
