City man charged with attempted murder Update

On the 18th March at 5:43am North Bay police responded to a 911 report of a stabbing at an apartment building on Trout Lake Rd. In one of the apartments responding officers located a 47 year old man with a serious stab wound and an elderly man with slash wounds.


Investigation led to the arrest of the 47yr old male with the stab wound for forcible confinement and assault with a weapon on the elderly man. Further investigation located an elderly woman in another apartment.

She was bound, and suffering from several wounds.

All three persons were taken to hospital.

Further charges relating to the elderly woman include attempt murder, forcible confinement, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and assault with a weapon.

It was determined that the elderly male had stabbed the accused while escaping.

The accused is known to both victims.

He has been remanded in custody with a court date of the 21st of March.

On Mar 18th, 2013 police attended an apartment building on Trout Lake Road after a 911 call had been placed in relation to a stab wound to a 47 year old male.

Once in the residence, police began an investigation and the male with the stab wound was arrested for forcible confinement and assault with a weapon on an elderly male.

This accused was later charged with attempt murder, forcible confinement, aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and assault with a weapon on a second elderly female victim residing in another apartment.

The accused is known to both victims.

All three persons were taken to hospital.

The accused has been remanded into custody.

Next court appearance is scheduled 21 March, 2013.
