The City of North Bay, in a news release, says it has hired someone to handle the job of Communications and Strategic Development.

She's Jaclyn Bucik and she started Monday.

Bucik was most recently the Community Relations Specialist at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital where she was responsible for a variety of communications initiatives including corporate communications, branding, media relations and event management.

She holds a diploma in journalism from Humber College.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the City of North Bay at such an important time,” said Bucik.  “One of the things I am most looking forward to is connecting and meeting with residents, businesses and City employees, and working closely with them to build upon and strengthen the relationships that already exist.”

She will be responsible for expanding the City’s current internal and external communications program.

City is also hiring a new Chief Administrative Officer and work is underway on a new Strategic Plan.
