The North Bay & District Multicultural Centre is offering Canadian citizenship classes as a new free service, beginning in April.
Classes will be led by Taslima Ahmed, a settlement counsellor at the multicultural centre, who went through the process of becoming a Canadian citizen last year.
She will provide eligibility assessment, assistance with the citizenship application and preparation for the citizenship test. The multicultural centre serves the Districts of Nipissing and Parry Sound and everyone seeking Canadian citizenship is invited to phone for more details at 495-8931. The centre is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
