This Holiday Season, North Bay Hydro is pleased to be able to give back to their valued customers with a Christmas light exchange at Northgate Square that is part of their Christmas of Conservation.

The event, which will take place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, November 17 at the Northgate Food Court, is part of a string of conservation events that North Bay Hydro is promoting this holiday season.

“The holiday season is traditionally a time when people end up spending more money than usual and we wanted to do something that would help lighten their load while promoting our mandate for responsible environmental management,” Hydro Manager of Human Resources and Administration Penny Charette said.

North Bay and Area residents are invited to bring in a string of their old Christmas lights and exchange it for a string of LED Christmas lights that are environmentally friendly and cost effective. To be fair to everyone looking to take advantage of this offer, North Bay Hydro is limiting the exchange to one string per household.

“We wanted to do something special for our customers this year and offering a Christmas light exchange was like giving them a gift that keeps on giving,” Charette said.

North Bay Hydro maintains a mandate of “saving together” and do so by promoting environmental responsibility and cost-effective alternatives to Hydro consumption.

This year, it’s a Christmas of Conservation with North Bay Hydro. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for more great conservation events from North Bay Hydro this holiday season.
