Wilfrid Laurier University recently announced the results of the National Secondary School Stock Market Competition and a team of students from Chippewa Secondary School have captured 3rd place.

Chippewa Economics students learned about the ups and downs of the stock market by participating in the competition and analyzing their investments during the first semester. Students created teams and then made investment decisions in a portfolio that included stocks, bonds, mutual funds and options. Teams competed not only against other students in their class, but also against teams in schools all across Canada. Each student received a certificate and shared prize money in the amount of $50.
