Many families struggle at this extremely stressful time of year.

Providing a holiday experience that makes their family happy, is simply unimaginable.

"The reality is that many families are having to choose between buying groceries and celebrating the holidays," says a news release from Children's Aid.

Last year the Children’s Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound was able to bring joy to over 200 families and 150 children through The Joy Project. It is the agency’s goal to do so again this year.

“We are very appreciative of the community’s generosity and the tremendous compassion for those less fortunate,” said Gisèle Hébert, Executive Director.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, youth or family you will be provided with personalized wish lists which include clothing/shoe sizes and a list of household needs.

“With the support of many individuals, families, and businesses, we have lessened the burden often associated with this time of year and helped to provide a very memorable holiday season. We look forward to being in a position to provide this level of support once again this year”, said Krystal McNeice, Joy Project Coordinator.
