Invest in Kids’ Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ is on tour and on-the-way to North Bay to entertain both parents and children. This interactive play area created by Invest in Kids, a national charity helping parents become the best parents they want and need to be, is visiting North Bay for the first time during the cross-Canada pre-school stage show - Get Set For Life Tour 2007 - presented by Kids’ CBC and Invest in Kids.

The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre is a movable play area that includes four activity zones¾ Reading Centre, Imaginative Play Centre, Sculpture Centre and Creative Centre¾where children have fun making fabulous creations, playing dress up, colouring and creating art. The Reading Centre will feature a ‘big book’ based on the popular Pinky Dinky Doo series of books by Jim Jinkins and the TV series on Kids’ CBC.

By participating in activities together with their children, parents learn how simple everyday moments can be used to support their child’s healthy social, emotional and intellectual development through Invest in Kids’ Comfort, Play & Teach: A Positive Approach to Parenting™. In each activity zone parents will receive a take-home Comfort, Play & Teach™ activity card with suggestions on how to comfort, play with and teach their child in a way that positively contributes to their development.

Comfort, play and teach are the three core types of interactions between parents and their children that support a child’s healthy social, emotional and intellectual development and are easily built into everyday routine activities and moments.

The Comfort, Play & Teach Centre™ will open 45 minutes before the Get Set For Life stage show. Parents and children are invited to visit the Centre:

When: Tuesday, January 30, at 1:15p.m.

Where: Capitol Centre

150 Main Street East, North Bay

The Get Set For Life stage show featuring Kids’ CBC hosts Mark and Joyce, joined by kid-favourites Curious George and Lunar Jim, begins at 2:00p.m. Tickets are $5 plus tax and are available through the Capitol Centre Box Office in person or by phone at (705) 474-4747 or 1-888-834-4747.

Proud sponsor of the Get Set For Life Tour 2007, C.S.T. Consultants Inc. will have a contest at the venue for a chance to win $25,000 of RESP contributions in a Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan (details available at venue).
