Students and staff of the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board will join schools from around the world in celebrating World Teachers’ Day this October 5, 2006. We take this opportunity to thank our teachers for their caring role in shaping the future of our students.

Our Board aligns itself with this year’s World Teachers’ Day theme, Quality Teachers for Quality Education, as our schools continue to stand for educational achievement as nurturing Catholic centres of excellence.

The success of our schools is built upon the care, commitment and skill of its employees. On October 5, we thank our teachers for being vital contributors to that success. Together as educators in our faith community, we provide learning opportunities that inspire, nurture and celebrate each learner's journey to:

Reach their full potential
Be a contributing member of society
Live the richness of their faith
Embrace lifelong learning

“Thank you to all of our teachers for their support in the intellectual, spiritual, social and moral growth of our students,” said Anna Marie Bitonti, Director of Education. “We ask members of our community to please take a moment on World Teachers’ Day to show a teacher how much their dedicated work is appreciated. My prayerful best wishes for a memorable World Teachers’ Day.”
