CARSTAR is going to the dogs ... again

Once again the gang from Stockfish CARSTAR at 23 Commerce Court are taking part in the company’s 6th annual CARSTAR Soaps It Up National Car Wash day.

The event, which also features a charity BBQ, kicks off at 10 am tomorrow (Friday, June 19th) and runs until 3 pm with proceeds going to Carstar's charity of choice is Cystic Fibrosis and the local charity of choice the North Bay Humane Society.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by for a car wash, some lunch and to check out the pets that are up for adoption.

Volunteers from the community will take up buckets and sponges in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis during CARSTAR¹S sixth annual charity car wash. The wash will be taking place this June 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the local Stockfish CARSTAR Collision Repair Centre at 23
Commerce Court.

This special charity event is part of the sixth annual CARSTAR Soaps It Up National Car Wash to raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Similar car wash events take place across the country. The local car wash will also raise funds for the North Bay Humane Society.

Cystic fibrosis is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians. A devastating disease, CF attacks primarily the lungs and the digestive system and requires a daily regime of intensive physical therapy and medications.

CARSTAR Collision Repair Centres have been dedicated supporters of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for several years since learning that a granddaughter of a franchisee had been diagnosed with the disease. CARSTAR has raised over $1.6 million to help fund research and treatment in the fight against cystic fibrosis.

Volunteers will roll up their sleeves to soap up and sponge down some cars.

The event will feature a barbecue, 50/50 draw and silent auction, with proceeds going to charity. In addition to the car wash the Humane Society will bring along some of their furry friends from their shelter.
