Car collides with bear

On the 20th of Aug. during the afternoon hours a North Bay Police officer was sent to a collision call involving a vehicle and a bear.

A motor vehicle had struck a yearling bear on Lake Nosbosing Rd. in Callander.

The vehicle received several thousand dollars in damage and the bear was put down by the officer due to it's injuries.

No injuries were sustained by the vehicle passengers.
