The Capitol Centre will be hosting a 2023-24 Season Launch event on Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to join and celebrate the much-anticipated season of programming coming to the Betty Speers Theatre and WKP Kennedy Gallery.

In addition to being the first to see the new lineup, guests will be treated to complimentary bubbly and surprise guest performances who will provide a sneak peek into performances later in the season.

The cash bar will be open before the show announcements and performances, and the WKP Kennedy Gallery will be hosting the after-party with cake and refreshments.

Officials say they will have lots of giveaways and information tables for Capitol Centre fundraising events including the 2023 Charity Golf Classic and the unveiling of the theme for the 2023 Fall Fundraiser. Capitol Centre Members will be able to purchase tickets for season shows that night, while the public on-sale is Friday, June 2 at 12 p.m.

“We have been so encouraged by the support from the 2022-23 Season,” says Katina Connolly, Executive Director of the Capitol Centre, on the eve of the final show of 2022-23 The Derina Harvey Band.

“The community has shown us this year that they are ready for more, so we are thrilled to build off that excitement! Our members are the heart of our arts community and they have been so supportive, and of course, we could never do what we do without our dedicated volunteers.”

Dan Misturada, Director of Programming and Events, adds that “there was such great and positive feedback from the 2022-23 shows that we were able to build that into this new season. There will be lots of variety and something for everyone to enjoy, so we can’t wait to share it with everyone in a few weeks.”

The 2023-24 Season Launch event is free for all to attend, however, tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved via capitolcentre.org or by contacting the Redpath Box Office in person or by phone- (705) 474-4747 Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are limited.
