A canoe trip on the La Vase Portages (not difficult portages) with a hot lunch This trip provides great deal of historical information of our settlers and the trappers from our heritage in this region.

There should be great scenery with the fall colours as well.

Participants are required to bring closed toed shoes (may get wet) and are encouraged to bring their own equipment if possible (water, life jackets, bug spray, sun screen, paddles, canoes, etc.) but we can source equipment if needed.

The amount of time required will depend on the number of participants and skill levels; however, this can be completed by 4 pm easily.

Everyone will meet at Champlain Park for 9 am on Saturday, September 29th.
Donation to Support ADI – “Helping people achieve personal independence from mental illness”: $30 per

 A member of the Friends of La Vase: an organization that is dedicated to preserving the historic and heritage importance of the La Vase Potages. Will be our guide through the trails

 Billy Bob’s will be our picnic location. The store will be closed so we are bringing in a hot pizza lunch and Billy Bob has given us permission to picnic in his yard.
o We should make sure to keep the area clean and respect his property to thank him for his hospitality.

 We are fundraising to support Affirmative Dynamic Industries) This link will bring up a article written about the program and the soon to be realized difficulties they face.
