Canadore cancels classes as coronavirus caution

Canadore  remains operational, and employees are expected to report to work
Covid-19

Canadore is cancelling all physical classes for the week of March 16 to 20, including all on-campus teaching activities such as laboratory and workshop sessions.

The measure is applicable to all North Bay and Parry Sound locations.

A news release says the college will "utilize this time to continue deploying its responsive measures and support services as well as enable program teams to complete review/development of contingency academic plans that facilitate completion of program outcomes."

External placements may continue as scheduled or be changed based on direction from the individual employer. Some placements have already been suspended.

Canadore remains operational, and employees are expected to report to work.

Students will be contacted with additional updates before the end of the week.

In addition, all business-related travel has been cancelled.

Staff or students who have traveled internationally must, upon their return, self-isolate for 14-days. Those staff will be asked to work from home during that period.

All social events and large gatherings at all campuses have been cancelled, until April 30.
