Canadore College is pleased to announce that its new Public Relations program was approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for delivery in the Fall 2012 semester.

Public Relations is a two-year program that will provide students with employable skills to help shape an organization's reputation, key messaging, communications, and stakeholder relationships. Graduates will earn proficiencies in writing, editing, concept creation, integrated marketing, social media trends and event management.

"This has been an exciting year for us as we continue to launch programming that reflects marketplace needs," said Canadore President George Burton. "Our new PR program reflects skills and knowledge that have been identified by employers. The curriculum will be delivered in diverse learning environments to simulate real-world industry and will also provide a work placement to provide graduates with actual work experience."

Canadore is also awaiting approval from the MTCU for its Environmental Management certificate program. This year Canadore has launched a number of programs in response to industry demand; Civil Engineering Technician, Financial Services, Mobile Application Development, Rural Recreation and Public Relations.
