Canadian Tire and Hardware stores across North Bay have been impacted by Premier Doug Ford's announcement on Friday where he announced a significantly pared-down list of essential services allowed to remain open.

Those that did not make the cut, including hardware stores, had to suspend operations by Saturday night at 11:59 p.m.

A number of locations, including Canadian Tire, have gone online to let patrons know they are offering curbside service.

As for Canadian Tire, the automotive department remains open.

Gateway Home Hardware, Home Depot and Ferris Home Hardware, and the two Rona locations (Rona Lakeview & Rona McGaughey) all have stated via social media they will still be open for curbside pickup.

"You can shop with us in 3 easy ways: order online, call us or email us your order. We will arrange for a time for you to pickup safely. See the instructions attached," Ferris Home Hardware stated via Facebook on the weekend.

The new closures will be in effect for at least 14 days.
