Team Canada came up with two medals but Tyler Nicholson was left on the outside looking in.

The North Bay native finished 7th in the Men's Slopestyle Final which took place tonight at the Phoenix Snow Park in PyeongChang.

Teammates Max Parrot and Mark McMorris won silver and bronze respectively while American Red Gerard captured the gold medal.

Nicholson, was scored a 76.41 on his second run, which was his best in the three-run final.

Nicholson was one of four Canadians to make the 12-man slopestyle final.

In qualifying, the North Bay native had a fall in his first run but in his second run he rebounded and scored a 79.21 which was good enough to qualify in the top six, finishing 5th in his heat of 17 snowboarders.

It's a disappointing finish for Nicholson but his Olympic games are not finished yet.

He also competes in the Big Air competition which starts February 20th.
