Canadore College’s Artist in Residence, Keith Campbell, has been busy winning awards and exhibiting his work this summer.

In June, he won a Best in Clay Award at the Ontario Craft Council’s Regional Exhibition in Elliot Lake. The exhibit will be shown at the new Ontario Craft Council’s Gallery on 990 Queen St. W. in Toronto starting July 26 and ending August 27.

Campbell was awarded a $1200 grant from the Ontario Arts Council and has an upcoming solo exhibition at the Station Gallery in Whitby. The exhibition is called Keith Campbell: The Turn of the Screw, which is a display of clay sculpture that satirizes myths and legends of Canadian cultural history. The exhibit opens July 21 and runs until September 2.

Campbell will also have his work appear in a new book called China Paint and Onglaze by Paul Lewing published by the American Ceramic Society. Campbell’s work has appeared in 15 books and he has won 43 awards during his 37 year career.
