Calling for bail money

Near North Crimestoppers’ annual Jail-a-thon fundraiser is set to go this afternoon at Northgate Shopping Centre today.

A number of community members will do jail time while calling on friends and colleagues for financial help to raise their bail. Mayor Vic Fedeli, Chamber President Mark King, MP Anthony Rota and North Bay Police Chief Paul Cook are just a few of the prisoners that will be looking for a get out of jail free card.

Things kick off at 1pm and the goal for this year’s event is $20,000.
