Nipissing University is seeking community members who are interested in contributing food, entertainment, an item for the silent auction or their time to the fourth annual International Food Festival, being held on Saturday February 9, from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Education Centre cafeteria.
Anyone interested in volunteering or making a donation should register by calling 705-474-3450 ext 4540, or emailing
[email protected]. The deadline to register is noon on Monday, February 4.
The Food Festival will feature a sampling of dishes from around the world, as well as a variety of cross-cultural entertainment. This annual event is organized by Nipissing University’s International Office, the local World University Service of Canada (WUSC) committee and The North Bay Multicultural Centre.
For individuals interested in sampling the international cuisine, tickets are available at the door at a cost of $10. All proceeds go to Nipissing’s WUSC Student Refugee Sponsorship Program. Monetary donations are welcomed.
