March 16, 2011, CHS General Meeting, Open to the Public, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. Guest Speaker -Helen Tripp, "All about Houseplants". A Power Point presentation and talk by Helen; learn about soils, pots, watering, dividing plants, diseases, light and fertilizing. Bring your seeds for a " Seed Exchange". A demonstration of a flower design, included in the upcoming August Flower Show, will be made. A social to follow.

April 20, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, CHS General Meeting, Open to the Public, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. Guest Speaker - Cathy Rowe, "Getting in Shape for Gardening". Cathy is a certified Yoga Instructor; she will demonstrate stretching exercises and give good advice. Elaine Dolinar will demonstrate one of the entries in the upcoming August Flower Show. A social to follow.

May 18, 2011, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, CHS General Meeting, Open to the Public, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. Guest Speaker - Bev Kingdon, A Swan Presentation" Discussing the success of the Trumpeter Swan program. A social to follow.

May 28, 2011, 8:00 am CHS, Annual Spring Plant Sale, till sold out, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. Come early to select your ground cover, perennials for sun and shade, hostas, some shrubs, house plants. New Memberships welcomed and pick-up Mayor's Garden Contest Nomination Cards.

June 15, 2011, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, CHS General Meeting, Open to the Public, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. Guest Speaker - Mr. Don Beamish will talk on "Conservation of Wetlands". Strawberry social to follow.

August 13, 12 noon to 3:30pm

Annual FLOWER AND VEGETABLE SHOW Presented by the Callander Horticulture Society, free of charge, Tea Garden, Enjoy seeing the different cut flowers, roses, baskets, house plants, vegetables & herbs, artistic designs
of fresh and dried flowers, photography, art and creative writing.

September 21, 2011, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, -CHS Awards Program, Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander .Trophies will be awarded from the flower show and the Mayors Garden Awards. . Guest Speaker TBA. A social will follow.

October 19, 2011, 7:00 to 9:00 pm. CHS Program, "A narcissus bulb & hybridizer expert" . Callander Community Centre, Swale St, Callander. A social will follow.
