Cabbie robbed at knife-point

The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged a Mattawa man after he allegedly robbed a city cabbie. The incidenttook place Friday afternoon when a man took a cab ride from Mattawa to Lakeshore Drive, in North Bay.

The incidenttook place Friday afternoon when a man took a cab ride from Mattawa to Lakeshore Drive, in North Bay.

When they arrived the passenger produced a knife, demanded and received money from the cab driver, and then fled the area.

The North Bay Police Service was called and a couple of hours later, Cst. Vicky Thisdelle, Cst. Ross Lingley and other officers located the man in question near the bus station on Station Road in North Bay. He was arrested.

Bradley Joseph Breen, 32, is charged with robbery and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing. The cab driver did not suffer any injuries.
