OPP believe they have solved a pair of vehicle thefts after arresting a Burk's Falls man.
On December 19, 2020 OPP investigated a theft of a motor vehicle from a Berriedale property in Armour Township.
Then on January 21, officers investigated the theft of a snowmobile and an attempted break and enter at a Kents Mill Road, Joly Township residence near South River.
That afternoon Almaguin Highlands OPP and the Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Marc Gates, 25, of Burk's Falls.
And as a result of those investigations, Gates was charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Theft under $5,000 of a motor vehicle
- Failure to comply with release order
Gates was held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Parry Sound on Monday, January 25, for a bail hearing
