The North Bay Society of Architects (NBSA) is announcing the annual launch of its application process for $2,500 in bursaries for students in North Bay and the surrounding area.
The NBSA’s bursary program, initiated in 2019, consists of two bursaries for prospective post-secondary architecture students.
“Our goal is to promote the development of the next generation of Northern Ontario architectural professionals, and we are pleased to offer financial support,” notes
NBSA Executive Member Noémie Lavigne.
One bursary is valued at $1,500 and is designated for one student pursuing a university degree in architecture. The second bursary is worth $1,000 and will be dispersed to a student pursuing a college diploma in an architectural field, such as architectural technology or interior design.
To be eligible for the bursaries, students must be set to graduate from secondary school at the end of the current school year or must have graduated within the past two years. Students must also be graduates of secondary schools located within the NBSA’s region of service, pursuing post-secondary education for the first time, and have proof of acceptance into first-year studies in a relevant program.
Applications for both NBSA’s 2024 bursaries are due by noon on Friday, June 7, 2024. Full application details and relevant forms can be obtained at www.nbsa.ca or by emailing [email protected].
