In accordance with the Provincial Initiative, the North Bay Police Service will be participating the Fall Provincial Seat Belt Campaign.

Specific officers from our Service will be dedicated to the enforcement of vehicle seat belt legislation.

Our officers will commence this enforcement starting Saturday the 23rd of Sept to the 8th of October.

We will provide the results of this campaign to the media once it is completed.

Citizens are reminded that the fine for not wearing a seat belt is $110. and a loss of 2 demerit points. It is also an offence for the driver to not have anyone under 16 years old age, properly secured in a seat belt or child restraint within their vehicle.
