A bootlegger in Cochrane should have set the brake before selling the bottles.
OPP say at approximately 1:45 p.m. Tuesday OPP were told that a motor vehicle had gone into Lake Commando in Cochrane.
Police investigation revealed that no one was in the vehicle at the time, nor was anyone injured.
It was also determined that the male driver had been using the motor vehicle to illegally distribute alcohol in the town.
Ilkoo Lee, 54, of Cochrane, has being charged with the following offences:
- Fail to take precaution against vehicle being set in motion
- Unlawfully delivering liquor for a fee
- Unlawfully receiving orders for sale of liquor
Lee was served with a Certificate of Offence for each charge.
