The Bonfield Business Trade Show returns this Saturday.

Bonfield is taking care of business.

On Saturday, April 13th, make your way to Bonfield’s Community Centre to enjoy the Bonfield Business Trade Show.

Indeed, the recreation committee has been hard at work planning the event, which is now in its second year. Casandra Kloosper serves as secretary for that committee, and was quite pleased with last year’s event, complete with “a good turnout” of people, and “positive feedback” from attendees.

The goal of the day is to highlight local businesses, provide an opportunity to network, and encourage conversations between customers and business owners. Bonfield’s CAO, Nicky Kunkle, mentioned that many local businesses are home-based, and the trade show provides an opportunity to increase visibility within the community and reach more people.

Many businesses have signed up to host a table on Saturday. Molly Maid, Cook’s Haven, D.B Contracting, to name but a few.

There will also be learning opportunities for those wanting to start their own business, or could use some advice on how to grow. A presentation dedicated to Entrepreneurship 101 is being offered for those starting out, and Caisse Alliance is presenting on “Financial Guidance.” Yes Employment is also attending, and is presenting on “Resources and Support.”

As if that’s not tempting enough, the Lions Club will be on site, selling hot dogs and chilli. Save room for that.

“We have many new residents as well,” Kunkle added, “and this event introduces them to all of the businesses that are here.” Overall, the event “has a neighbourhood networking” theme throughout.

The Bonfield Business Trade Show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, April 13. It’s at the Community Centre at 100 Yonge Street. Admission is free, as are the presentations.
