North Bay OPP has charged a Bonfield man with sexual assault in relation to a 14-year-old girl from 30 years ago.
It stems from a call on August 29 when the OPP got a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the 1980's in the Township of Bonfield.
The North Bay OPP Crime Unit conducted an investigation into the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, Joseph Bedard, 60, of Bonfield, has been charged with:
- Sexual Intercourse with Female Under Fourteen
- Two counts of Sexual Assault
- Breaking, Entering and Committing.
Bedard was released on a Recognizance of Bail on October 25, with conditions, to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay On November 7.
