Maureen Boldt announced today that she will seek her fourth term as city Councillor in the November 13 municipal election.

The owner of Boldt Paralegal and Mediation and single parent to 19 year old son Jordan, states that, "I continue to be proud of my record on Council since elected in 1997. This community has been able to count on me to represent the concerns of our residents in an honest, straightforward and consistent manner."

Boldt currently is the Vice Chair of the General Government Committee of Council, Vice Chair of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board and Chair of Nipissing District Housing Corporation.

"Our city is experiencing record construction activity", Boldt said and credits this and previous councils with fostering optimism and confidence in our future, where developers can invest in our community. Council has practised sound money management while planning ahead for future growth and development. We continue to invest in our own future with numerous improvements to roads and infrastructure.

Boldt said if she is re-elected, she will continue to assist and encourage with economic growth, development and the construction of more affordable housing.

Boldt hopes that residents will support her re-election to Council and her vision to achieve a positive future for North Bay.
