Body found near Cedar Heights Road (update)

The North Bay Police Service is now reporting that the body found on the 20th of May near Cedar Heights Rd. is that of Lorraine Girard, 53 years old of North Bay.

She had been reported missing in April of this year.

The investigation is concluded and investigators do not suspect foul play.

North Bay Police are reporting that a body was discovered near Cedar Heights Road in a wooded area.

Early reports indicate that the body was discovered around 6am by a person was walking in the area.

Foul play isn't suspected, and police believe the body is that of 53-year-old Lorraine Girard, of Leonard Street, who was reported missing April 21st.

The body has been sent for forensic testing and identification in Toronto.
