The Near North District School Board is proud to announce the launch of its cyberbullying website this week.

The website is the crowning jewel in the Board's cyberbullying project. It serves to house the various project materials such as a parent information brochure, student and teacher activities, a comprehensive listing of online resources, and two public service announcements that were produced by the project.

The project, spearheaded by the Widdifield Secondary School family of schools, was the result of generous funding received from the Ministry of Education in March 2007. Project Chair, Larry Lanctot, Vice-Principal of Widdifield Secondary School, commented that "It was truly a team effort to bring the Widdifield educational community together including students, teachers, parents, and administration to promote the awareness, education and prevention of cyberbullying."

The website can be viewed through links under “What’s New” on the Near North District School Board site at www.nearnorthschools.ca .
