The value of building permits issued this year is way up over last year says Mayor Al McDonald.

Total building values reached $47,420,958 in the first five months of 2016 representing a jump of 79% over 2015 year-to-date and 200% increase over June 1, 2014.

Most of the value is because of a few large projects.
