A woman that police say assaulted a man with a beer bottle and butter knife faces numerous charges today following a domestic dispute.

Police say that between April and August, she assaulted the male victim on two separate occasions using her hands and feet. She also prevented the victim from leaving during multiple arguments and on other separate occasions she assaulted the victim with a beer bottle and a butter knife.

Yesterday she went to a separate home and threatened a female, then travelled to a different home where she argued with her male partner and assaulted and threatened another female.

A search revealed she was in possession of property belonging to three separate people, as well as drugs. 

Shortly after midnight today police were called to a domestic disturbance on Delaware Avenue. During the investigation a female resisted arrest.

North Bay Police have charged a 30 year old North Bay woman with:

  • One count of "resist arrest"
  • One count of "unlawful confinement"
  • One count of "utter threat"
  • Three counts of "assault with a weapon"
  • Two counts of "assault"
  • Two counts of "theft"
  • Five counts of "possession of stolen property"
  • One count of "possession of a schedule 1 substance"

 The woman was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police say in order to protect the identity of the victim, they will not be releasing the name of the accused.
