A beaver dam break above the escarpment is being blamed for major flooding in the Champlain street area North of McKeown avenue near Canadian Tire.

Around the supper hour, city crews blocked off 4 blocks including Cartier street and Justin street as work hard to try to clean up the mess.

Area residents say the neighbourhood has experienced flooding like this before from a beaver dam break but never this extreme.
