The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the general public on the recent sightings of a bear in the Laurier Woods, Fisher St. and 1st Av. area of the city.

Our service is cautioning the public to secure their garbage, and clean their BBQ grills. Also to remember that bears are wild animals and are unpredictable.

Any sighting should be reported to the MNR at 1-866-514-2327. That agency will be attempting to live capture the animal this week.
