Be careful driving Lakeshore

Crews are doing a "shave and pave" or "milling" on Lakeshore Drive between Sunset Boulevard and Premier Road. That's where the machine mills off the top couple of inches and it's paved back up to level afterwards.

Pioneer Construction is the contractor.

Paving will take place on another day.

This will protect the underlying road structure from traffic wear and water damage, and greatly slows its natural degradation - extending the entire road structure's lifespan.

As well, this provides a new and very smooth riding surface for vehicles using the road.
