The Battalion added a player compared to a young Ty Nelson with their 29th pick and final selection of day one of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection.

Kent Greer, is a 5'8", 154 pound defender from Renfrew, Ontario and the Barrie Colts U16 AAA program.

In 30 games this season the offensive defender had 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points.

Like Nelson, Greer is a speedy right-hand shot defender who scouts say makes a good first pass and is not afraid to rush with the puck.

The OHL Priority Selection resumes with rounds 4 to 15 starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning.

BayToday will continue to have draft coverage throughout the weekend.
