The North Bay Humane Society’s annual Barkfest Microchip Clinic broke an event record on Saturday, microchipping 101 pets in a three-hour window and bringing in just over $6,000 for the shelter’s programs and services.
“Every year we’ve run Barkfest, the community response has been amazing,” says Liam Cullin, Executive Director for the North Bay Humane Society. “The support we’ve received from Coldwell Banker Peter Minogue Real Estate Brokerage has enabled us to grow far beyond what we imagined.”
In addition to microchipping animals, Barkfest also featured a Community BBQ and Coldwell Banker’s popular Cutest Pet Photo Contest which saw more than 80 local animals participate.
