North Bay police have arrested a local man and charged him with attempted murder after a stabbing Sunday.

The attack took place on Massey Drive on March 10th, just after 7 a.m. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds.

Police got a call from the North Bay Ambulance Service about a man who had been stabbed several times at a Massey Drive house.

"Upon police arrival, paramedics were treating an adult male who was suffering from multiple stab wounds to numerous parts of his upper body," says Cst. Merv Shantz in a news release. "The male was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries."

Police say the accused is known to the victim.

The attacker began stabbing the victim with a knife after a brief altercation and then fled say police.
