Assault suspect sought

The North Bay Police Service continues its search for a suspect after a city man was assaulted while walking home early Saturday morning. Police said the incident occurred Dec. 4 at approximately 3 a.m. in the area of Worthington and Fisher Streets.

Police said the incident occurred Dec. 4 at approximately 3 a.m. in the area of Worthington and Fisher Streets.

Two males, one of whom was known to the victim, approached him, asked for money and then began patting the mand down.

They then began to punch him repeatedly and fled the area. The victim went home and eventually went to the hospital where it was discovered that he suffered from a concussion, had blood in his eye and three fractures to his face.

The unknown assailant is described as male, white, 22, 5'6 to 5'8, stocky build, 160 lbs. to 170 lbs. with short dark hair and a dark moustache and a beard. He spoke English and had his bottom lip pierced.

He wore a red bomber style jacket that appeared
very puffy, and a black baseball cap.
