Artists' collective welcomes new member

Art on Main, downtown artists' collective (AOM) welcomes artist Terryl Ryan, Hand weaver/Designer, as a member to its retail gallery at 143 Main St. W. Terryl's work will be shown in the window of the gallery for the month of January.

Terryl is highly educated possessing diplomas in Introduction to Crafts & Design, Visual Arts Instructor Program and Crafts & Design from Canadore College where she was an honours graduate. Terryl continues to upgrade her skills by participating in extensive one-day, and weekend workshops. Terryl has also been teaching on a regular basis since 1978, at College and municipal level, as well as privately.

Terryl’s baskets are functional and based on traditional styles and incorporate locally available materials when available and recycled materials when possible.

Art on Main is a collective of emerging and established local artists dedicated to creating and sharing exceptional work in a variety of media. Beginning in January, this retail gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
