Art sale at NipU

Nipissing University’s Fine Arts and Visual Arts (FAVA) program is hosting a juried exhibition and sale on Friday, November 30.

Titled Art Across the Map, the event is aimed at raising funds in support of field trips for FAVA students to fine art galleries. It will take place in Nipissing University’s recently renovated Monastery Hall (formerly the Precious Blood Monastery), home of Nipissing’s Fine Arts and Visual Arts (FAVA) program, as well as the Masters of Education and Additional Qualification programs, located at 165 Monastery Road.

The exhibit features the work of artists who have donated their art in support of FAVA. Interested people in the community can purchase a $50 ticket, which allows them to select the work of their choice, when their ticket is randomly drawn. Tickets are also available for $10 and feature an unseen “brown bagged” artwork.

Admission to the Art Across the Map exhibition is free of charge and all are welcome to attend.

The exhibit is open for viewing from 3 – 7 p.m. and the draw begins at 7 p.m.
