Armstrong Family bestows $120,000 to city for Armstrong Beach

The Armstrong Family, in memory of Chancey (Chan) Armstrong, donated $120,000 to the City of North Bay for improvements to Armstrong Beach and Park.

Mary Lou Tomlinson made a cheque presentation to North Bay City Council on behalf of the Armstrong Family at a City Council meeting held on Tuesday, May 21st.

Chan Armstrong was a former C.A.O. for the City of North Bay and was well respected by all.

“The City of North Bay will honour the wishes of the Armstrong family and the donation will be used for improvements to the Armstrong Beach and Park,” stated Mayor Al McDonald.

“This generous donation is most appreciated by the citizens of our city and we are proud to have his legacy and dedication to our city continue to live on.”
